schedule of activities

Below are some of the fun doggie activities that we have lined up so far. As always, be sure to check back often as we confirm more great activities for our

four-legged friends!

Animal Auditions (Saturday ONLY)

Bring your dog to the Grand Stage for a real talent audition. This is a great opportunity for you to show what your Fido can do! Dawn Wolfe from Pawsitively Famous Animal Actors will not only be on hand as one of the judges for the Pick-of-the-Patch Talent Contest she will also be observing the dogs to find new talent. If you spend lots of hours training your dog, this is an opportunity to show what your dog really can do when on stage.

Canine Good Citizen Evaluations

Of course your dog is special. Do you think your dog has what it takes to be a therapy dog? Are you curious or interested in having your dog evaluated? Dawn Watson, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator #24405 will be available on both days of the festival. Check back for more information about scheduling an evaluation for your best friend.

Fido’s Fall Fun

How many of you LOVE going to the park to play with your pals? I have some terrific news! Camp Bow Wow, Cherry Hill, NJ, signed on to be the sponsor of our Doggie Play Area. Camp Bow Wow will bring play equipment for canines of all sizes to romp around and exercise. The area will be fenced with dividers separating small and large dogs. I am jumping for joy! It is very exciting to have Camp Bow Wow on board this year as they celebrate the opening of their brand new facility in the fall. Their qualified staff will monitor the area so snarls and "ruff" play can be avoided. Meet you in the park?

Lure Racing

It's their second time on the East Coast!  If you missed it last year, you will not want to miss it this year. The National Canine Cancer Foundation and its Lure for a Cure located in Arizona is happy to offer High Performance Lure Course racing at Fido's Festival USA®.

High performance lure courses are rapidly becoming an exciting dog sport that dogs of all sizes and all breeds can participate in. You can watch as dogs chase a tail around an enclosed course built for fun and speed. Each run is timed so the dog owners become just as excited about the sport as their dog. It is one of the few dog sports that 90% of the dogs need no training to enjoy. It is pure instinct for a dog to chase a tail and that is what makes it so exciting for the dogs. They love the sport and never want to stop.

It is also a crowd favorite. Every event that Lure for a Cure participates in draws huge crowds of spectators that have just a much fun watching as the dogs have running the course. And the best part of the National Canine Cancer Foundation’s "Lure for a Cure" is that the proceeds go to funding canine Cancer research. Bring your dogs and let them do what comes natural and know that your participation helps raise money to help beat canine cancer.

Extra fee for participation paid directly to Lure for a Cure with no

financial gain to the festival.

Dock Diving

One of the premier dock jumping organizations in the country, ULTIMATE AIR DOGS®, returns for the third year to Fido's Festival USA®. Their professional team entertains thousands of spectators with dock diving at festivals throughout the country.  Their dock diving shows are a feature of every festival they do! They started as a grassroots Michigan dock jumping club striving to make every single participant feel important from the smallest Novice jumper to the biggest Ultimate high flyer! That is why they created the Divisional Finals where the top 5 dogs from each division are invited to compete in a Grand Finale! Keeping their policy of putting the dog first, they provide more open dock time than any other organization and whenever possible offer their participants the ability to practice. If dogs are having difficulty learning, their crew of volunteers will often provide free help between activities. Every Ultimate Air Dog is equally special. All mixes and breeds are welcome!

Extra fee for participation paid directly to Ultimate Air Dogs® with no financial gain to the festival.  To register your dog to compete go to the Ultimate Air Dogs® website and sign-up.
