Come to Fido's Festival USA® and hang with some extraordinary humans who are passionate about dogs, their health, and their well-being.  Enjoy our sessions and learn about how to keep your dog healthy and active.  At Fido's Festival USA® we want to make sure that we provide a variety of expert speakers who will share their knowledge and offer some helpful tips and tidbits on a variety of canine subject matters that will make a difference in your dog’s life. David Best

 

David Best, MD, MBA, a physician in New York City was recently a contestant on the CBS reality series, “Greatest American Dog” with his Parson Russell Terrier, Elvis. David is a New Jersey native, born in nearby Salem County Hospital and was raised in Pennsville, NJ until the age of 5 when his family relocated to Camden, NJ. David attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn. He went on to receive a medical degree from Temple University before attending Baruch College where he earned his Masters in Business Administration. However, his passion for creative writing allowed him to use this skill as a medical educator. He is currently president and co-founder of www.thedoctorschannel.com, a website in which CNBC’s PowerLunch describes as “the educational YouTube for doctors.” It was the humor section of The Doctor’s Channel that CBS found Elvis’s now famous “Bark Mitzvah” video and subsequently invited the team to audition for “Greatest American Dog.” David and Elvis will be leading the Howl-O-Ween Parade with Fido.

Michael E. Dym, VMD

 

Classical Veterinary Homeopathy is located at Cedarbrook Animal Hospital in Sicklerville.  Dr. Dym is one of 250 veterinarians in the US trained in classical veterinary homeopathy by Richard Pitcairn, DVM, PhD. Dr. Dym is a presidential scholar graduate from Cornell University with his VMD from Penn. He is an active member of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Dawn’s experience and accreditations speak for themselves with over 30 years of experience in canine training along with being a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Associate Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Member of the Animal Behavior Society, Mentor/Trainer for the Animal Behavior College and Instructor for the Apprenticeship Program of Brother of the Wolf.  Dawn is of Cherokee/Chicamaugua/Shawnee descent which has a heavy influence on her training program and philosophies.

Dawn Wolfe, owner of Pawsitively Famous Animal Actors, has made a name in the Hollywood industry as the “trainer of the pet stars.” Since her start as in the field, she has handled and trained dogs, ferrets, rats, birds, and other animals. One of her current projects is acting as talent coordinator and wrangler for Animal Planet's hit TV show DOGS 101. Last year she supplied canine talent for the feature films "New York" and "Motherhood" Her clients include Target Brands, Mighty Dog, Miller Lite, Barkleys, Johnsons and Johnson just to name a few. Dawn will also be conducting on the spot auditions. So if you have a pet that might have what it takes to make it in Hollywood, you will not want to miss this session! In addition to her presentation, she will also be one of the judges for the Pick of the Patch Talent Contest.
